I'm happy to announce that I've been granted two trademarks by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Fretography® is a way of mapping the fretboard based on widely accepted principles of music theory. While there are plenty of sources for fretboard diagrams available, Fretography goes beyond most methods by comprehensively mapping the diatonic system as a whole. The essential fingering patterns are seen as geometric zones which are named for their diatonic significance. The study of chords, scales, modes and more is enhanced by mapping them in in a contextually related way - not as isolated patterns.
Also - - - Check out the new Fretography Blog. Each entry features a tutorial focusing on a specific aspect of the fret-mapping system.
